About Amy
Throughout grades K-12 I benefitted from individualized tutoring in math. These tutors not only helped me with my courses, but built my confidence in this subject and honed by critical thinking. When I attended Middlebury College, I had to opportunity to tutor and mentor others. As I continue in career in molecular biology, mentorship has become an integral part of my education and career. Having experienced tutoring from the perspective of both student and tutor, I bring a unique insight into what your student may be experiencing and how a tutor can best support them.
I most enjoy the opportunity to work with students one-on-one. This allows me to get to know their interests and how best to motivate them. Every student learns in different ways and it is exciting to help each one build their own toolkit of skills for learning and studying that will continue to help them after our sessions.
