About Leahnees

I am a pre-professional ballet dancer at Kingsport Ballet. I am 16 years old and have been dancing for 13 years. I would love to host privates, semi privates (2 to 3 dancers) or classes to help students improve on topics and movements in ballet in which they are struggling with. I have been dancing at Kingsport Ballet for 10 years, under the direction of Valeria Sinyavaskaya, Leonid Flegmatov, Vadim Brucui, Ericka Ballard, Jessica Barrett, and Odardo Bordoni. I have performed in many classical and contemporary ballets such as: "Don Quixote", "Sleeping Beauty", "Swan Lake", "Les Sylphides", "The Nutcracker", and Ericka Ballards, originally choreographed, "Seeds of Change". I had the privilege of studying under current renowned artists including Allison Debona, Derek Dunn, Beckanne Sisk, Chase O' Connell, and Sascha Radetsky. I have been accepted to The Rock School for Dance Education, American Ballet Theatre, North Carolina School of the Arts, Washington Ballet, Saratoga City Ballet, The International Ballet Workshop of Estonia, Summer Master Classes in Prague, and South Carolina Dance Conservatory's summer intensives. In the summer of 2019, I attended The Rock School for Dance Education's five week summer intensive, in Philadelphia, where I was taught primarily under Bo and Stephanie Spassoff. I have competed at the Youth America Grand Prix in Winston Salem, where she performed two classical variations, and one contemporary variation (choreographed by Jessica Barrett). I am a brand ambassador for ballet clothing companies and organizations such as Zarely Wear, Ballet in the City, Ballet Papier,and Just Strong. I plan to pursue my dream of dancing for a professional ballet company.

I love helping other ballet students improve in their technique, artistry, flexibility, strength, etc!

I started teaching privates for a competitive ballet student 2 years ago. I coached for a competion where she made it through 2 rounds placing 2nd and 4th place. Since then I have helped teach and perform with/for younger students.

I have been trained at a pre-professional ballet school called Kingsport Ballet for the past 10 years and attended the Rock School for Dance Education's 5 week intensive in the professional division.

About the lesson

Typically I meet my students over zoom where we will have either a 30 minute or hour long private. For the first meeting I usually take some time to get to know the student and how the student has been trained.

I have worked with beginner, intermediate, and advanced students.
