About Sharon
Dear Valued Customers,
ABOUT ME:
My name is Sharon.
I studied for 8 years as a high school teacher at both Bachelors & Masters levels and have practical experience of teaching yr7-12 English and Modern and Ancient History in four schools & much varied experience of working with children (& all ages and types of people) over at least 15 years;
Being qualified in first aid, cpr, wwc (WWC0838748E), child e safety, child protection and anaphylaxis training, as well as achieving the teachers national literacy testing standards (meaning I am above the top 30% of the population).
My joy & aim is to talk with and help people, something I do in everyday life, and I am exceedingly blessed and grateful to be able to apply my very practiced skills and lifelong passions to learning & improvement in teaching & helping others.
In Skateboarding:
I have well over 15 years experience in Skateboarding, and of this at least 8 years in teaching students of all ages, from just under two to older adults: both male and female, beginners, professionals, x-games competitors and even future olympians.
I was once sponsored and have won many competitions and prizes myself.
Indeed, Teaching Skateboarding (& single-handedly trusted to run indoor Skatepark/ lessons & conducting skate birthday parties for up to 40 kids entirely by myself) was my first job at age 14/15.
I have been professionally mentored & taught Skateboarding & Coaching by Olympian coaches & athletes since before 10 years old & have nearly 10 years coaching experience in this field after being employed by five prestigious skateparks and companies, for years on end, until their businesses closed
I was ranked First in my school and classes in every subject and High-Achieving SC and HSC.
In English, History and Art:
I have a lifelong love and achievement of these subjects.
Without trying too hard, I’ve truthfully been met with general excellence, awards & praise in almost all things I have done in life. I was 17 & young for my year when I completed HSC . I was a girl guide for over 10 years. I’ve received top marks in almost every school and university essay or exam I have ever done.
Even now,
I aim to always Improve in everything I do in Life.
Learning does not and nor should it ever stop -
as the Ancient Greek Philosopher Socrates said:
“Wise is the man who knows he knows nothing”.
I also have been an Artist all my life.
I have been lucky enough to be commissioned to send my Custom Artworks around the world.
I have a Long history of being an multi-medium
Artist and
Writing Poetry and prose
- I one day aim to publish.
Receiving the Gold award for the Premier’s Reading Challenge.
(Read each book out loud at both my year level and the one above -eg. books like the original “Watership Down” at 845 pages, “Water Babies” and “Peter Pan” at Age 7).
I have an extremely great love of learning, culture, art, philosophy/classicism & literature with prolific knowledge & memory of numerous topics, like
Shakespearean works
(I know most soliloquy’s & quotes off by heart )
and intimate native knowledge of English language and Literature including curriculum & syllabuses.
History is a lifelong passion and I specialise particularly in Ancient Greece, Rome and Egypt.
Also: Europe, Vikings, Middle Ages and Arthurian legends, Tudor/ Elizabethan reigns, Christian/scripture, Alexander & extensive multi-era/culture historical personality knowledge, myth/ legend, agriculture, anthropology, classicism and philosophy, late antiquity, Nazi Germany, WWI, II and Vietnam, the 60’s, 70’s & the Counter/Hippie/Youth movements & culture, Ned Kelly, bushrangers & Australian colonial and Indigenous history and much much more.
Further Qualifications : I have an Arts Degree with Triple Majors in English, both Histories and Education.
