About Ethan

Even though I am still in high school, I have had a lot of experience teachin math concepts. Having always been two years ahead in my math classes has brought me many opportunities to help other students. I have a knac for seeing math differently than most, as well as understanding its applications, which aids my ability to explain concepts in multiple ways. I have experience with student-driven curriculms like Carnegie, aw well as traditional texts, and I am comfortable tutoring any level up to and including Pre-Calculus.

I love seeing people go from being confused about a topic and then, after some simple instruction, understand what they didn't before. I have had teachers that only taught straight from the book, leaving some kids confused and on their own. This allowed me to teach frequently the concepts in class

I got to see a lot of students learn hard concepts, and I loved being able to teach them the process. This is why I can help anyone become a better math student.

About the lesson

I first seek to know what they understand about a topic and how they came to think that way. This is important because it allows me the imformation as how best to teach them at their level of comprehension. I need to know how they arived at their level of understanding because if what got them there isn't working, I don't want to repeat the same instruction.

I charge 12 dollars for a 30 minute session of tutoring, but for those that might need longer I charge 20 an hour.
