FOR THE FIRST TIME IN LOS ANGELES !!

Starting Wednesday October 11 at 7.30pm

At The Complex Theater * Shepard Room

Acting Class in French and English Languages. (directed, scripts, depending of your language)

Classes will be based on the following methodologies

-The Intuitive and Natural Development of the Actor's performance

-The Organic Process based on real-life scenarios and situations.

You will work on dialogues from selected American and French repertoire, in French or English languages and eventually in Italian. Accent reduction.

You will work different dialogue scenes based on memorized text.Through this workshop you will come to realize your potential as an actor through my pedagogical methodology, The Creative Research Process. This approach is really simple , HUMAN, and without unnecessary techniques. It focuses on the pleasure of acting even when presenting a character with immense suffering. You will learn to live and present your emotions in an Organic Way while getting to know yourself in the process.Through my process I will help you construct a “reality” in the simplest way possible by helping you get in touch with feelings, sensations and a level of consciousness. I will help you develop an imaginary and real world based on dialogue with me, used during stage work.Each actor has his potential for truth, sincerity, intuition and instinct, unique to him. It is this potential that we seek to develop and explore. The objective of this work is to help you reach the most natural and vulnerable aspects of your personality, skills that will set you apart from the rest. I will also help you discover the immense pleasure that comes with acting.My "methods" are based on the teachings of John Strasberg.Active participation in class is required. As this is a Masters Class, quality is important. Classes are limited to 14 students so that everyone receives the appropriate level of attention and instruction as well as performance time.

Recognized as a Master not only in France but Internationally, I have 27 years of experience and I won several awards for staging and directing as well as, best acting Teacher in Paris. Most notably have directed the Théâtre Gérard Philipe in Meaux and ran my own training school in Paris at the Center Du Marais. My Masters Classes have been given in France, Russia, Italy, Germany, Morocco as well as at the Stella Adler Studio in New York and The William Shakespeare Academy in London. I also directed community theater for 15 years working with disadvantaged underprivileged communities. I worked as a lecturer in universities and within the private sector, as an Artistic Director, and also danced and sang in musical theater. I starred in two successful One Man Shows in Paris and I'm currently acting and producing a Franco/American feature film in Los Angeles and New-York.

For our first meeting, you will be asked to present a two minutes monologue based on your choosing.2 fisrt courses are free if you stay !!!More details will be given during the required interview.Class is limited to 16 participants. Each class will meet weekly on Wednesdays for four hours. And I will work with my assistant Sylvain Willaume.

All kinds of students, no age distinctions or anything. Professionals, individual coaching of celebrities, amateurs, people in social difficulties, students in University, college. Many of my students have received awards in France.

To trust the true nature of the work proposed, to pay attention to the charlatants and all the schools which propose dreams. A student must be able to deviate from standard cliches to enjoling speeches, and to go to a professor who gives him confidence in his real potential, respecting his real personnality and talent, and who teaches contact with oneself, what is reality in a moment, and to understand that without work and without love for his acting work, it will be difficult. That an actor's real work is not in a technique or method, but in his ability to be onstage, a living human being. There is always luck for everyone, but it is very rare. No pain, no gain!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Avoid saying they know everything. That they will not make mistakes, or that they are good actors. Humility is the actor's greatest friend, like learning to know oneself, learning to love oneself in order to know oneself and to use oneself with his true emotions. A good actor makes mistakes, only the bad ones never make it .... Always learn his text !! Golden Rule !! A motivated and a little informated student, must be able to tell his professor what he wants to learn. This is the first question I ask students : What do you want to learn ? why are you here ? Avoid coming only to have a good time or to laugh with friends or out of curiosity. A motivated and serious student will be easier to train and will find immense pleasure. Of course the atmosphere of the professor must be benevolent but to speak the truth. And we have fun in my class when everything is respected, because without pleasure an actor is not good .....
