About Wendy

WCSProductions is focused on producing intriguing film and stage productions and developing extraordinary talent. Wendy has over 20 years of experience teaching, consulting, writing, directing, and producing. She has both studied and worked in New York, California, Washington D.C., Maryland, and England. She has been on stage, in the director's chair, and behind the camera. She has a vast knowledge of scene study, improvisation, acting, movement, and voice training. Wendy is professional and passionate about developing talented directors, actors, and writers.

Creativity is my passion and I love writing, acting, and directing. I love when students impress themselves as they continue to grow and nurture their craft. I enjoy sharing my experience and partnering with my students to bring out the best in their work.

I have a 20+ year career in acting, writing, directing, and producing. I'm a graduate of San Diego State University where I studied theatre and creative writing. I've studied theatre and screenplay writing and directing at the University of Plymouth in England, and I am a graduate of The New Actors Workshop founded by George Morrison, Paul Sills, and Mike Nichols. I have taught all ages both privately and in the public school system. I continue to develop my skills and have an unending love for the craft.

About the lesson

First, I like to get an understanding of my student's career goals; the mediums in which they would like to work, their self-assessed strengths and areas for improvement. Secondly, I like to evaluate them beginning with monologue work and scene study. Finally, I develop a tailored lesson plan.
