About Jamie
Founded by New York–based actor and teaching artist Jamie Lapierre, The Rehearsal Room is a space for actors of all ages to explore, create, and grow. With over half a decade of experience nurturing young performers—from early childhood through middle school—as a babysitter, teaching artist, and theatre educator, Jamie brings a deep understanding of how to cultivate confidence, imagination, and authenticity in every student.
At The Rehearsal Room, the focus is on process over perfection. Actors are encouraged to play, take risks, and connect truthfully to their work, whether they’re stepping into their first role or deepening their craft. Each class is designed to build technique, spark creativity, and foster a supportive community where artists can rehearse the kind of bold, honest storytelling that lives beyond the stage.
The Rehearsal Room isn’t just a studio—it’s where artists find their voice, their courage, and their joy in the work.
