About Tim

I started as an assistant director when I was younger, then began directing. After this I began giving lessons to middle school and high school students. This grew into coaching in Manhattan, where I have worked with professional actors with many television, film, and theatricalcredits.

My acting credits include Regional and Off-Broadway work, National and International Tours, and work with Disney, as well as independent film and sketch comedy.

I have directed theatrical productions, short films, sketch comedy, and music videos.

As a producer, I stage harmony-driven concert performances and Broadway-style cabarets, and am always looking for new talent.

I also have a degree in Psychology and Philosophy, which I find allows me to delve into character work in a unique way.

About the lesson

Prior to meeting I would like to know as much about the student as possible; previous experience, level of interest in pursuing acting, reason for lesson, learning-style preferences, etc.

The first lesson will entail running a range of acting exercises in order to tailor a set of lessons to the student. The first lesson will cover basic acting theories and techniques.

Throughout the lessons, the student will be given various monologues and scenes which will be dissected and worked on. Additionally I will touch on the history surrounding the writing of these pieces. We will develop the student's acting style, balance, presence, and confidence.

Because acting is so individual, we can go into more specifics in person.
