About Andrea

To build awareness and improve instruction I use evaluations of audio and video recordings with students.

Myexperience includes

- coaching performers & speakers

- extensive work with ESL (second language) students

- college application essay writing assistance

- experience teaching and tutoring in many subjects beyond my official language arts and social sciences licensing. Have taught multiple science and math (through Trig) subjects.

- I speak some French and German.

- have worked with students of all ages and ability levels

- have significant education and experience relating to special needs students

I am fascinated by meeting and getting to know new people.

Figuring out how to best approach a student's needs and watching them improve is a great joy.

The challenge of applying my expertise to each situation is joy!

I have been a theater anf speech events enthusiast since junior high school when I began doing shows, studying voice and dance, attending theater camps... By late high school I was landing summer paid gigs and began teaching/coaching others.

It's been a many-faceted lifelong joy and, sometimes, livelihood.

Licensed teacher.

Experienced music, speech and theater director and coach.

Planned and led numerous workshops and informational presentations.

Experience with students from children through older adults.

Have taught remedial skills, supported special needs students, taught college courses, developed curriculum and academic support programs, assisted stidents with college prep, admissions and success support.
