About Karole

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my profile.

My name is Karole Foreman. I am available for acting, speech lessons, singing coaching, audition prep for film, tv, theatre, and musical theatre. Whether you are just starting out or are a seasoned professional, looking to sharpen your audition skills, hone your techniques, increase your confidence, or just looking for an audition buddy to go over your copy with you I am here to help.

I can work with you on technique for film, television, and commercial work. I can also work with you on theater, whether it's contemporary or Shakespeare, as well as musical theatre (I can help you prep and coach your song and character work).

I offer a free 30 minute consultation and evaluation. It's a chance for us to meet to see what I may be able to offer you and if I might be the right teacher/coach for you. ☺ Lessons will last from 1 to 1 1/2 hours. My prices are also negotiable, based on what your needs and interests may be.

A little info about myself: I have loved acting and performing since I was in Junior High School. I have over 40 years of professional acting, singing, and dance experience working in television, film, commercials, voice-over, and theater, performing in hundreds of musicals, plays, classical works, and Shakespeare.

This past few years have been very busy. My film credits include THE BANALITY, 42:THE JACKIE ROBINSON STORY, I'LL BE NEXT DOOR FOR CHRISTMAS, REBIRTH, & RISING:LOVE HAS NO LABELS.

My theatre credits include: 1st National Broadway Tour of 1776:Musical, LADY DAY (2019 L.A. Ovation Award), BLUES IN THE NIGHT, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC (S.D. Theatre Critics Circle Nomination), FENCES (NAACP Nomination), WEDDING BAND (Stage Raw Nomination), A FEW GOOD MEN, INTIMATE APPAREL, PORGY & BESS, SWEENEY TODD, NEXT TO NORMAL, 2 Seasons with Oregon Shakespeare Festival, COMEDY OF ERRORS, BLOOD WEDDING, STRINDBERG IN HOLLYWOOD, FROM THE MISSISSIPPI DELTA, with LA Women's Shakespeare Co. ROMEO & JULIET, OTHELLO, MEASURE FOR MEASURE.

I received my Masters in teaching acting and directing from CSU, Long Beach and taught acting there as well as at Chapman University, and Orange County High School of the Arts. I was an acting and speech teacher with The Broadway Theater Project, Las Vegas Kid's Talent, and coached young artists in two productions for CYT in San Diego.

About the lesson

I have them prepare a monologue, scene, or a song or have them do a cold reading. This helps me to assess where they are in their work and identify how I may be able to help them.

I will also have them talk about what they want to accomplish with the classes and talk about their aspirations.

I went to her for private coaching when I had to perform Lady Macbeth's monologue and I was scared to death. She helped me so much with the monologue and with my acting skills in general. We made a film of my monologue that has since won many awards, and the credit goes to Karole!
