About Emily

Hi! I am a creative-minded college student with a love of language and the arts. Though my passions lean towards these subjects, I am also quite adept at mathematics.

I have an extensive theatre background, having completed training with the William Esper Studio in NYC and working for several years as an actor.

My particular strengths lay in classical plays, so I am ready, willing, and able to answer all Shakespearean questions. My goal is to make classical theatre accessible and enjoyable to everyone. I am happy to help you through anything from your English class reading assignments to preparing for college theatre auditions.

I take an individualized approach to tutoring. Everyone has a different learning style, and you deserve to have your subject translated to that style. We can work together to find your "best practices" when it comes to studying, memorization, understanding theory, and much, much more!

We all have our own strengths, too. Writing might not be your strong suit, but that doesn't mean you don't have a unique voice to offer!

My philosophy is ; we retain new information best when we feel relaxed and safe to make mistakes. Working with me, we take the pressure off being "right" and focus instead on understanding. We can take breaks when needed, check in, and get back down to it when you feel ready.
