About Laura
I enjoy helping students learn or polish their acting skills. I am currently teaching theatre at the middle school level, but have worked in the high school level as well. I specialize in beginner to intermediate levels of acting. I can teach film & television acting as well as stage acting.
I love helping build student confidence and watching their growth overtime.
I have a Masters Degree in theatre. I have been teaching acting for 10 years, and I have had film/television training, as well as theatrical training.

The first thing I do is find them a suitable monologue, teach them how to break down the monologue for acting purposes, and work with them on performing their monologue. Through this process we discuss techniques and audition processes to help the student build confidence and help them learn how to audition for the medium they choose. As we continue moving forward students will learn all about characterization, choosing material for the audition they are going to, and how to do a cold read.
