About Zilah

30 years strong in the acting profession. My passion and focus are on New Works. I have originated many new roles that have been recognized across the country. I enjoy teaching others on a one to one basis how to break down a script and create characters.

I love telling story and connecting with the audience.

I started coaching/teaching students by request.

I have had a career as an actress for 25 years. I studied the Technique for 4 years.

About the lesson

I will work with you on scenes from contemporary theatre or television and teach the process of breaking down a script beat by beat as well as walk you through the steps of creating a character.

I have worked with both adults and students as young as 11.

Look for a teacher who not only studied but who has practical hands-on experience in the field of your interest. If you are interested in studying Shakespeare then look for someone who has a career teaching and working in Shakespeare. If you are interested in contemporary stories in theatre and film look for someone who has worked and trained and taught in that form.

I enjoyed working with my youngest student who I met on stage in Miami earlier this year. I have watched his confidence grow as he stepped into episodic season repped by an incredible LA agent. We have worked via skype as well as in-person when he came to LA to experience his first LA episodic season.

Details

I charge 350.00 for a 4-week lesson working once a week for 1 1/2 hour blocks.

If you have an audition that you would like to prepare the charge is 80 per hour.
