About Jordan

I received an M.F.A. in Acting from The FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training, a B.A. in English Literature with a focus in Shakespeare, and a Theatre minor from Boston University, and have worked Off-Broadway and Regionally in cities such as Boston, Chicago, Sarasota, and Fort Worth, including regional and world premieres.

I served as an adjunct faculty member at The University of South Florida where I devised an Intro to Theatre class and I have taught Shakespeare across the country in cities all over New England and Florida.

As an actor, one of our most important jobs is to understand how to express ourselves fully and truthfully in accordance with the style of the piece; to have both a personal and an informed experience of the material so that we walk into the audition room or the rehearsal space with bold choices and own the space as confident and tuned-in actors.

Whether you are a beginner or experienced, we will work to help you gain a more personalized and well-informed experience of the material in a way that will help you feel more confident, relaxed, and excited about walking into the room.

I was cast in a 6-month regional tour where I performed three Shakespeare shows in repertory and followed each performance with an educational workshop/talkback.

I received a M.F.A. in Acting after three years of training in a classicaly-minded conservatory while performing shows in repertory with actors and directors from all over the country.

I spent six years working in the Boston theatre scene, where I have since performed and taught over 140 educational Shakespeare workshops for students in middle school, high school, and colleges across the greater New England area, as well as Florida.

I devised and taught an Intro to Theatre class for students at The University of South Florida, where we explored the comparison between live performance and textual analysis.

About the lesson

I always like to know what the student is looking for in the work. How can I help you? Theatre is collaboration on the highest form, where we risk feeling and experiencing our most true and vulnerable selves, so it's important to create an environment where my students feel a simultaneously safe and deeply charged evironment to explore, fail, and succeed in.

I have worked with students in middle school, high school, and college, with a wide range both interest and experience in acting.

Work with people who empower, excite, and challenge you about who you are and the work you do.
