ive bee working steadily as an actor, director and teacher steadily since 1986. HarryOreilly IMDb.

Recently completed filming the showtime seriesEscape From Danamorra with Benecio Del Tortoise and Patricia Arquette.

Studied with the legendary actress Geraldine Page and Betty Buckley.

i bring a working knowledge and a passion to help actors cultivate thier talent, interpretive skills and ability to take direction . In short , I help build careers too.

I have been Directing , Acting and teaching in NY for over 30 years. Many of my students have gone on to have strong acting careers. I love developing and nurturing new actors into professional level actors. I also enjoy working with established actors on audition coaching to help them book jobs.

I enjoy one on one private coaching and class workshops.

I've been able to put many of my students in contact with agents and casting directors.

my IMDB is Harry OReilly

Every teacher I had told me I should teach someday. After finishing two years on the Award Winning ABC Series Homefront I moved backed to NY and was approached by many to start a class. I did and it blossomed into a wonderful experience watching so many of my students blossom and work professionally.

I am a member of the Actors Studio in NYC and Studied Central Connecticut State University before studying with the Legendary Geraldine Page.

After selling my first film I was approached by many actors to start teaching. I was also advised to teach by my teachers.

About the lesson

I always do a consultation meeting for free. To get an idea of where the actor is at and where they want to go. We do a cold reading from a tv or film script and a short improvisation then carve out a course of training and that suites the actor most . Have been acting and directing in TV and Film steadily since 1986.

I have worked with beginners to established working actors. From teenagers to Seniors 😊

I find it's best to work with a teachers who has amassed a professional working career in Tav , Film and Theatre. They are more likely to pass on golden nuggets to move you up your path. Also, be careful of unqualified teachers. There are many out there. Sadly.
Give yourself the permission to develop your relationship with your creative acting instrument. Great things happen when you do.

I am fond of the many films I see at Film Forum in NYC

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
It's important to have a clear understanding of what you want to get out of acting training before delving in. It is a commitment with a learning curve that involves emotions, imagination and physicality. Sometimes it's a fun easy ride sometimes it's scary and vulnerable. It's good to work with a good qualified teacher with extensive professional experience.
