About DeLance

I hold an MFA in Acting from the American Repertory Theater/ Moscow Art Theater Institute for Advanced Theater Training @ Harvard University.

I've been teaching and coaching actors, adults, teens, and children, for over 25years for Theater, TV, Film and Graduate School auditions.

I am a professional actor with Television, Stage, Dance and Stand-Up Comedy experience. (concealed information)

I enjoy helping others learn how to analyze scenes and monologues.

I've been teaching and coaching acting for over 25 years. I began teaching after completeing Undergraduate Studies in Theatre. In the beginning, I taught and guided young adult and child actors but as my career and skills progressed I began to work with more advanced and professional students. Since graduating from Harvard, I hace helped actors secure roles in Theatre, Film and TV.

I hold a BA in Theatre Art with minor studies in Dance from Henderson State University and an MFA in Acting from Harvard University. Trained in Shakespeare, Improv, Comedic and Dramatic performance and analysis.

About the lesson

Every student is different. First, I access their current level, (beginner, intermediate, advanced), then I access there goals (what kind of work are you seeking), then we strategize a plan that will get your there. Whether, preparing for the stage or screen, for professional or hobby, I am well versed in many methods of acting and teaching and can help reach the next level.

Any type, as long as they have the desire to get better and the respect for the craft.

I would advise to check their credentials, look at there work, and of course meet them. Explain your goals and ask specific questions. Make sure that you not only trust their expertise but also that you trust them as a person. Acting is a very personal and sensitive journey, and you will need to seek out someone not only knowledgeable but compassionate and patient.

A couple of years ago, I was cast in the off-Broadway show "Tiny Beautiful Things" at the Public Theater, oppisite Nia Vardalos(My Big Fat Greek Wedding) and directed but Thomas Kail(Hamilton). It was a very moving production and I cherish the memories of working with such great artists.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What are your goals? How much time can you devote to learning the craft? What is your motivation for wanting to act? What will you do if you do not achieve success right away? Do you want to work on stage, screen or both? Who are your favorite actors and why?
