About Martino

Have your child learn the foundations of acting from a NYC actor who has auditioned for and booked roles on some of the biggest shows on TV such as BLUE BLOODS, LAW and ORDER SVU and ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK.

Having studied with many great teachers in the past, I will relay all those nuggets of knowledge and experience to your child.

i know what it takes to book those auditions, not just teach how you might be able to. I will teach your child to be an actor or actress, NOT a celebrity

As I look back on all the fine teachers that I took lessons with early in my career, I have nothing but great memories. As I continued studying with each teacher, I took something different away from each one and used those skills to become the artists I am today. To see that proverbial light go on in a student, when they start to make breakthroughs in their work, for a teacher there is nothing better.

I have studied with Flo Greenberg, Jeff Zeiner, Bob McAndrew and Bob Luke.

About the lesson

The first half of our session will be acting exercises I have collected over the years to help warm the student up. The second half we will work on written material. That could be a monologue (every child should have at least 2 ready to perform at all times) or a scene, or any audition piece that your child wants to get ready for.

Hire a teacher who has either worked professionally as an actor themselves or who have had students who have booked work

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Why are you taking acting lessons? To learn the craft of acting, or become a celebrity?
