Resident circus arts Director for RitzKidz Program at the Ritz Theatre, Newburgh. 2019 Recipient of Arts Mid-Hudson Individual Artists Grant to write, direct and produce a full-length theatrical production for adults. For more history, see: (concealed information) or on FB: The Art of Balance and Art of Comedy.
Seeing students radiate with confidence, self-esteem and joy when they make new discoveries and expand their performance horizons. I like to challenge those I work with to go beyond what they believe they are capable of, to think outside the box and to utilize what they learn in everyday life. Nothing pleases me more than an illuminated face from one who advances or finds more ways to express and define themselves. I love incorporating physical work with emotional, mental and spiritual idealogy.
BFA Pratt Institute, Minor in Theater. Studied Ballet with New York Theater Ballet, Mime with Rene Houtrides and Louis Gilbert. Thirty years performing in all venues: from TV, MTV, movies, stage and circus, philharmonic symphonies, corporate and specialty events. Clients include Henson Assoc. and Warner Bros. Records. Ten years Director of Acrobatics for Amazing Grace Circus, eight years Director of Circus Arts for Williamsburgh Movement and Arts Center, past ten years teaching children, youth, teens and adults privately.
