Peggy was my dialect coach for Witness for the Prosecution. I played Romaine and needed to learn a German and a Cockney accent. This was my first experience doing any accent work and I was very nervous about doing it. Peggy was an incredible teacher, she was very patient and provided a number of great resources. She was dedicated to helping me not only learn the accents, but perfect them. She went through the script with me word for a word and helped me learn how to say each of my lines with the required accent. She was very knowledgeable and walked me through exercises on how I should place my tongue to say certain words, which was extremely helpful. I do have a bit of a speech impediment and she was wonderful working with that. She provided great constructive feedback and on anything, I struggled with provided extra attention as well as videos and additional resources. All the effort paid off when we received comments from audience members saying they thought I was actually from Germany. She is a wonderful teacher and an amazing resource.
