About Kim
I've been an acting coach for the last few years and got started by word of mouth. People who saw my work began reaching out for cosching.
I coach theatre as well as vo... and though they have similarities, they are definitely two different beasts. I love em both.
I have been in professional VO work since 2002, and have a theatre background.
In addition to voice work, I am a current resident actor at Memphis' Professional Theatre Company: Playhouse on the Square.

Everybody is different, so I cater to what's best for the individual.
We will work on articulation, enunciation, flattening of any regional dialect, exploring different delivery styles based on different types of vendors, explore character voices and accents, and a bunch of other stuff that slips my mind at the moment.
All things to make you a better and more viable voice-over talent!
All ages, all types! I have no standard mold for the type of student I want, bc there is no one mold for all the different kinds of people we are.
- Be ready to work both your voice and your ears. Knowing how you sound and what you're conveying through the voiceover script is key
- Be ready to work on: Versatility, articulation, inflection, enunciation, tone, pacing, and vocal delivery of script.
- Be ready to try lots of things lots of different ways
- Be ready to do mock sessions of commercial scripts to get you ready for the real thing
- Be ready to have fun!
A recent event I am fond of... hmmm... seeing as how the pandemic shut down live theatre for quite some time, I'm fond of the fact I just completed my 2nd live show back since all this wackiness began.

Details
Generally I'm $40/hr - but am always willing to negotiate.
I don't charge if we go overtime, bc I'd rather get it right and leave the student feeling confident about the session than to adhere to what the clock says.
