Acting has been my passion from day one. There's something wonderfully addictive about having the power to tell a story in your own creative way, through the use of a character. The goal is to inspire more people to do the same, and along the way, hopefully you will learn more about who you are, and ultimately what you want out of life.
I started out teaching theatre and acting in my sophomore year of college. During that spring, I was able to make arrangements with two school districts in North Carolina/Wilmington area and was able to travel down and offer (voluntarily) a week's worth of theatre and acting classes to multiple groups of students, both high school and middle school. Delightfully, a few of those students chose to continue pursuing acting through college, and are now looking to start their careers. Additionally, as I mentioned previously, I was an acting T.A for Syracuse University's pre-college acting program for two years. Those courses focused on giving high schoolers that were interested in a career in the performing arts, a view into what classes were like in a conservatory program.
I'm and L.A based film actor right now, and have extensive training in both stage acting, film acting, and screenwriting. Recently I've completed my degree, a B.F.A in Acting from Syracuse University, during which I also studied at Shakespeare's Globe in London, to enhance my knowledge and training with Shakespeare's plays. I also have several professional film and theatre credits that I acredit to that training, and find it important to explain to any new student, how and where to look for opportunities when entering the professional world, like I recently have. Additionally, I was an acting T.A for Syracuse University's pre-college acting program for two years.

The first step is to see what interests the student most. So, if we're focusing on film acting, what are their favorite movies as well as specific scenes and actors. If it's theatre, what are the favorite plays? After establishing each student's passion, then I can start to focus on giving and improving the student's craft. The goal is to take a new piece of material from start to finish, from selection to performance, and then for the student to have the capability to do that themselves once they enter the professional world. Process is extremely important when learning how to act, so I will be assisting each student in finding a process that works for them.
All types! Though I've mostly been surrounded by college students my age the past four years, I've taught middle schoolers, as young as 6th grade all the way up to seniors in high school!
So I've just finished up with the whole acting school experience and I'm someone who can tell you all the pro's/con's of going into this field. I know when I graduated high school and was about to go into college, I didn't know what to expect, and I had a lot of questions about this ~very~ uncertain career path. Hopefully I can be the one that can now answer any questions you might have, and steer you in the right direction, while giving you a head start with your training.

Pricing can be determined per student, and in terms of how long they would like their experience to be. Ideally, students interested in acting or screenwriting would be interested in a once or twice/weekly class that would stretch across a few months, but I'm happy to tailor each exprience to fit your needs! Please expect a ballpark range $45-$60/hour.
