About Diane

We are a 27 year Award winning studio. We are rated #1 on Children in Film for 9 years and Backstage West Readers Choice awards for two years.

We have had the honor of training such talents as Academy Award nominee, Hailee Steinfeld. As well as Disney stars the likes of David Henrie, Miranda May, and Jason Dolley to name a few.

Our studio consists of Diane, her daughter Tess, and several guest instructors, including top casting directors

We love the actors work and set a standard of training that is critical for success in our Industry. We specialize in working with kids, teens and adults.

Our Agent Quest showcases are held 4 times per year and host the A List, Industry elite and hundreds of actors of all ages sign with the Reps in attendance year after year. We really know how to showcase actors ages 6 to adult as well as vocalists. Many of our students have been finalists in The Voice on NBC.

Along with being a professional actress for many years, touring dancer, director, owner of a theater company, and author, Diane has also worked as an on set coach for both Disney and Nickelodeon. She has studied around the country, including at The Actor's Institute in L.A., The Lee Strasburg Theatre & Film Institute, and with renowned teacher Sally Kirkland.

Her daughter and lead instructor, Tess Christiansen, began a professional career as a working actress 20 years ago. She began teaching 4 1/2 years ago and since has been an on-set coach for numerous Feature films plus starring in the recently released feature "Most Likely to...Die"

About the lesson

After a discussion (usually over the phone), Diane can determine the best option for the specific need of each new student. We give new students the opportunity to audit a group class they are considering for $40. If you join, we waive the fee.

If you are interested in private lessons, we will tailor a curriculum specifically for what you need to work on. If you are unsure what you need to work on, we will be able to determine that at the beginning of our lessons.

We know that acting is black and white. There isn't one set of "rules" that work for every actor... I mean, come on! We're artists! Diane and her team will make sure you are getting the most out of your training!
