About Tim
I have been working as an actor/director/teacher for over 30 years. I have done stage work as well as film and tv. I have worked with Michael J. Fox, Woody Allen and Tom Hanks. I can help an actor to get to the point where they can see themselves in parts that they were meant to play and actually land those roles.
I decided to become a teacher after getting married and starting a family. I had worked as an actor in NY prior to that.
I have a M.A. in Theater from SUNY Stony Brook. I am a member of SAG/AFTRA and the New York Theater Educators Association. I have directed high school shows and community theater shows. I have acted in over a dozen community theater shows on Long Island and many more regionally and off-broadway. I have acted in movies starring Michael J Fox, Woody Allen and Tom Hanks. I have also been seen in commercials, TV, and industrial films. I am currently the Theater teacher and director at a local high school.

I usually start by getting to know my students personally first. I like to find out what motivates them. I ask a few questions to find out their passion for acting and progress with lessons based on those answers.
I’ve worked with students from the age of 5 to 17. My wife and I ran a Drama Kids franchise for five years.
Make sure the teacher has a professional background in acting. Get references. Check out their background. Make sure they know what they are talking about and not just in it for the money.
I love it when students whom I’ve helped come back to see me. It’s very rewarding.

My rates are $59 an hour for up to two students and $89 an hour for three or more student.
