Experienced tutor in Acting in Kansas City, Darren offers private lessons tailored to your needs.

I have studied with a dozen acting teachers over the years. Darren Dowler is not only the most knowledgeable acting coach I’ve ever had, but he has a talent for teaching. And he’s not just a coach. He’s a full-time performer, director and filmmaker out in the field doing it, booking the roles, and acting. He has so much real world experience to draw from it’s obvious why he’s one of the most sought after coaches in the business. You’ll learn more than one lesson from him then a whole summer with another coach. I just saw him in the movie Palau in which he plays the Reverend Billy Graham. He was amazing.

And- he’s great with kids!

I initially started with Darren in Orlando in 1990. Being a talent manager I wanted to understand acting better to better help my clients needs. After a few lessons I had learned so much that I required my entire client stable of about 25 people to take his class. He had to add an additional night to handle my people. In a couple weeks I saw incredible growth. In a few months I had the best acting stable in Orlando. My people were working.

Darren is one of the most talented actors and teachers I’ve ever come across. But he’s not the coach for someone who takes it lightly. He’ll work your butt off.

It was such a pleasure to have my daughter working with Darren. He instilled confidence in her, taught her how to prepare herself to be an actor, and provided her with opportunities to show off her craft. THANK YOU! Darren for your time, help and support of our budding angel!! You are The Best.

Darren is an incredible acting Coach. I couldn’t recommend him higher. He goes so above and beyond with his time, his care and investment in you as an actor, his amazing guidance and how to truly delve deep into a character and a scene. Before I started taking with him, I was ok as an actor. Once I started working with him, I started getting callbacks and booking jobs and really started to grow and reach my full potential as an actor and I began to feel very confident about my abilities. If you take lessons with him, you will be so happy you did!!

Darren is a great teacher. I enjoyed the class.

When you train with someone who makes a full time living at a craft, you're not just getting a degree, you're getting life experience, mentoring and someone who can really guide you to achieve.

Darren knows more about acting and really working as an actor than anyone I've ever trained with.
