About Lydia
I have a B.A in elementary education and psychology with a special certification in special education. I work as a elementary special education teacher during the day in a charter school with inclusion classes. Previously I've worked with students in elementary school for 8 years starting with homework help while in high school at the local elementary school for 4 years. I then volunteered at a special needs school for a 1 year. Lastly I was a teaching intern for 3 years until I was hired as the elementary special education math teacher

I love helping students to find a love for education and finding methods then help them to succeed. I believe that no student is bad at school but that they have just not found what works for them in the classroom yet.
I've been volunteering at elementary schools since 9th grade and just never stopped.

I have worked with students from kindergarten to 5th grade. I currently work with grades 2-5. I work currently with students who have IEPs or 504s but I have plenty of experience with general education students.
Look for someone who loves what their doing not just looking to make money. When a teacher loves what their teaching or doing then it's more likely students will as well.
I recently graduated with 2 degrees and 1 certification debt free and got a lead teacher job at the school I worked at for 3 years and fell in love with.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Think about what you're struggling with, is it the math, the comprehension or do you feel completely lost. Express what ever it is and don't be afraid to ask as many questions as you need to. This is about helping you learn and you can't do that unless you ask any questions you have.
