About Ashley

I love helping students realize they have limitless potential and worth and then giving them the tools to bring these parts out of themselves.

I meet every student at exactly where they are in their journey to help them become the best actor they can be. Through rigorous work with Fitzmaurice, Shakespeare, Meisner, and physical theatre practices, I will help you unlock every means you have of psychological and emotional expression-improving your craft and mental wellness.

I have been teaching acting for 17 years, and I have been acting professionally for 15 years. I have won acting and teaching awards from Texas State University, Texas Tech University, The Kennedy Center, ATHE, and the University of Romania. I am also a professional director, with my favorite piece I've directed being "Footloose" the musical at Theatre West Virginia.

I believe in a holistic approach to acting educations, incorporating multiple disciplines and theatre techniques into your training, and ensuring we are working in a manner that protects you mentally and physically.

Every actor and their needs are completely unique, and I love being able to adapt to everyone's unique learning styles to tap into their potential. I appreciate breath and movement work and how they can be incorporated into classical study.

Storytelling is humanity's oldest gift, and I only want to help others succeed in this special artistic practice.

I have a BFA in acting, a Master's in theatre performance, and I'm a Ph.D. Candidate in Performance and Arts Administation. My research uses music psychology to train the actor in breaking vocal and physical performance habits.

About the lesson

We will discuss your training and performance history to establish your current working-level, and we will set your goals for our time together. Whether is mastering your breath in Shakespeare or just not feeling as nervous talking in front of a group, we will move at a pace that is appropriate to you but still pushes you to grow.

$100/hour for small groups (2-15)

$150/hour for medium groups (16-50 people)
