About RacheL

I teach ages 8-22. I have worked in the acting buisness for over 20 years. Not only have I been represented by agency’s in Chicago, but I’ve interned with them. I will make sure to be patient, kind, and understanding to all my students. I’ve taught a acting class before but I’d like to be more hands on with each student to give them that extra strength they need to pursue their passion.

I have been teaching since college. I worked in numerous day cares, along with working with local youth groups since 2009.

I have been working in the acting buisness for over 20 years. I started doing theatrical productions when I was five years old. From there I progressed to teleivision and film. I am currently pursuing my masters as well at Columbia. I have also taught a preschool acting class which I adored!

About the lesson

I try to make each and every one of my students feel special. It is important to have a consultation with every student, if they are a minor, I have a consultation with their parent. I want to see what the student would like to learn while they work with me. Together, we are a team and come up with a outline of different things to work on so they can be ready for auditions. Ultimately, it's about learning and having fun while doing so!

I have worked with all different types of ages, demographics, and personalities. The beauty of acting is that it doesn't matter how old, or where you come from, it's all about the common love of acting and discovering who you are through different characters.

Always talk to your teachers previously. Make sure you get along and you have the common goal. Ultimately, it's a partner ship, make sure the teacher has your best interest at heart.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Make a list of questions! No question is silly! It is important to ask all those questions so you can feel comfortable with your teacher.
