I'm an experienced coach and character actress who's been nominated twice for New York's prestigious Innovative Theatre Award.

I love transfering my passion for the craft of acting to others.

I especially love that look of joy on a student"s face when a breakthrough happens.

An acting coach pinpoints exactly what is needed to solve this individual's problem, to enable them to reach their goal.

I draw on a lifetime of knowledge and experience to do this.

It's hard work but great fun!

I began coaching back in the late '80's.
I added young people after I began to coach my own children in the 90's.
I created and directed several musicals for children in schools and worked for awhile exclusively with kids and teens.
After moving to NY in 2003 I began doing a great deal of stage work and to work again with actors of all ages.
I have found myself to be a very good motivator and communicator with clients, taking them to the truthful place they want to go.

I was trained at Los Angeles Valley College where I received two Best Actress Awards, Cal State University Los Angeles, and Occidental College.

Further extensive training in Improvisation with Paul Sills, (creator of Second City), in Acting with Nan Martin, Keane Curtis, Ellen Geer, and Terry Schreiber, (Tony-Award winners), and Dialects with NY coach Page Clements.

About the lesson

First we meet and set some goals, short-term or long-term.
Choose material or use what has been given.

Warm-up with a few physical, vocal, diction and acting excercises.

Work in-depth on material, break it down, etc.

Set goal for next meeting.

Young and older adults, experienced and beginners.
Kids of all ages.
Recent students include my own son, Colin DePaula, who toured in the role of Gavroche with the 25th Anniversary National Tour of LES MISERABLES and was the voice of Peter for Nickelodeon's PETER RABBIT, and Mckayla Twiggs, currently in ANASTASIA on Broadway.

Look for someone you can afford who has good judgement and a real commitment to the craft of acting.
Someone who inspires your confidence and also seems to have a lot of invaluable knowledge to share with you.

Being nominated again for the NY Innovative Theatre Award for Best Actress in a Featured Role, and attending the gala announcement party in Times Square!

Details

My fee is $75 an hour for clients age 7 to 17.
$90 an hour for adults.

A purchase of five lessons in advance saves $40 at $410 for adults and $325 for youth.

Payment in cash or via PayPal to Noelle DePaula

Self-tape auditions fee is $90 for recording and sending.
