About Alexandra

I have the distinct priviledge of working several known entertainment companies in the DFW area, especially at Funimation!

I've got a Master's degree in Performance and Pedagogy (a fancy way of saying "acting and teaching of acting") from Texas Tech University. I pride myself on condensing all my colleigiate training into a digestable form for beginning actors.

I've been working professionally since 2011, touring with children's theatre, voicing anime, and working as a black and white vixen with Pegasus Theatre, and a saloon girl with Texas Star Dinner Theatre!

What can I teach you?

Audition Preparation (getting those monologues down, how to effectively cold-read, making strong choices)

Period Styles- From Greek, to Commedia, to Shakespeare, to Restoration

Vocal Production- Being an actor it's important to know how to care for your voice and use it effectively

Acting is the best job in the world! I want to help you get some of that fun, too! It's hard work and years of practice to get where I am, so I know if you dedicate yourself as I have you can do it!

I have an MFA in Performance and Pedagogy from Texas Tech University, focusing on directing methods, acting methodologies, period styles, history, and criticism.

I teach with Sonny Strait (DBZ's Krillin) at his studio, covering Commedia del Arte for his advanced students.

About the lesson

My first lesson is finding out what drives you. Why do you want to learn? What are you hoping to accomplish? what previous training (if any) can be built upon?

From there, I can begin to tailor our lessons to you. I will a ssign homework, such as reading a text, or a new play, or finding three new ways to convey something.

I charge $50 an hour, or $40 for a half hour. It's really better to buy an hour as we can get more accomplished in that time.
