About Jennifer
I began my teaching career in Norfolk, Virginia, where I taught at the same school for 10 years. I currently reside in Massachusetts and teach at a small public school where I have grown as an educator by taking on extra responsibilities and leading the school to improve our math program. I work closely with the staff at my school. I have provided RTI instruction and done one-on-one tutoring throughout my career.

I believe in using strategies instead of steps to teach math. I believe that building up a student's number sense will make them more successful students throughout their education. I have been an elementary teacher since 2005 and have taught all grades from Kindergarten through sixth. I currently teach 5th and 6th grade and while I teach all subjects, math is where my teaching passion lies.
