About Michael

I have taught Maths, Physics and Technology for 25+ years in the London Borough of Hounslow, where I was Head of the Physics Department for 15 years, and in Ealing and Richmond. In the last 10 years I have developed my skills as a personal tutor and now offer teaching and learning to a wide range of students online in the UK and across the world. I combine the advantages of traditional 1-to-1 tutoring with the convenience of modern Information and Communication Technology to bring a valid, effective and enjoyable learning experience to the student, who then receives full lesson notes and a homework task after each lesson. Testimonials are available on request. If you would like your own consultation (30 minutes, no obligation) just write me a few lines. Regards, Michael

It is an excellent option when travelling distance is a problem or when we are all in lockdown! Q - Do you have a personal message for students? Whether you need help with homework, coursework guidance, specific topics, revision strategies, or exam technique and practice at past exam papers, catching up or getting ahead.... help is available, and you and parents WILL see improvement = decreased stress, less worry and anxiety, increasing CONFIDENCE with the subject. Hi Michael,
Im really happy with the pace we are going - really enjoying my lessons with you, the stories, the theories, videos, questions, experiments and this is really important for me to integrate concepts Ive never been able to before. And the hands on experience is a real 'luxury' - for the first time I can see and understand what is happening and 'remember' things - such as a series circuit and current which I shall never forget.

Hello Michael,
It's Karen.
I got my GCSE Results earlier and thought I would let you know how I did. I got 5 B's and 6 C's so I have enrolled for college in and will be doing my A - Levels. I got a C in Science, which is good as I struggled in that subject, and a C in Maths. Just want to say a huge THANKYOU for pulling me through science & maths. You were a massive help and without your lessons I doubt I would have passed. So thankyou for getting me into college :)
Hope your well
Karen.

Michael,
I am happy to tell you that my overall results are:
Maths: A
; Economics: A
Philosophy and Ethics: A
and (for AS)Â Â Physics: B
I am writing to thank you for our lessons together, as you acted as a key to a door in my thinking.
The way graphs and formulas worked together is an example that springs to my mind.
This way of thinking helped me to boost all my grades I believe and is more than partially thanks to you.
So Thank you,
J.

Michael, I really like your online method, I can easily get points of different concepts. For me that is a really big step. I really enjoy the lessons. Your elaborated preparations made every lesson so fun and meaningful. I used to be afraid of physics, but now I think it is getting more and more interesting. I benefited a lot from the lessons.
For your online lessons, I think everything is perfect.
Thank you very much for teaching me well.😊

A. is finding your lessons very useful. His grades at school have improved and he is now actually predicted an A – IF he continues to work. I still don't think he likes the subject but is definitely getting extra practice, help and support through your weekly lessons.
As a parent I like the notes you provide and the promptness at which you send these on. I also like the way you mark the papers using an online pen. You were the first online tutor I have experienced and would like to say
