About Sarah
I am a Sociology teacher with over 20 years experience of teaching to the AQA specification. I am currently a Head of Faculty (Social Sciences), which sees me managing and leading on teaching and learning for Sociology, Politics, Psychology, Law and Criminology. I am also an experienced examiner, who has examined on both papers 1 and 2 and for the last 5 year s I have been a team leader on Paper 2 Sociology.

My tutoring approach matches the needs of the student. In the main it would encompass checking for understanding of the core content, but primarily working on exam technique and essay writing skills. Making sure that the student understands how to demonstrate the different assessment objectives required by the specification. For the most part the lesson consists of talking and discussing course content and applying it to exam style questions. Revision and study skills are also incorporated so that the student can continue to self direct their own learning during the week.
