About Brittany
Teaching music has been my life for over a decade, and I love helping singers find their true creative path. I have over ten years of experience and hold a Bachelor of Science in Music Production with a focus on vocal engineering. This background allows me to deliver highly personalized singing lessons to students of all skill levels, from school kids to professional adults.
I specialize in working with singer-songwriters who want to develop their own original material. Together, we focus on lyric writing, melodic construction, vocal phrasing for emotional impact, and basic guitar or piano self-accompaniment. I also help my students build a strong foundation through ear training, harmony, improvisation, and music theory.
I remember working with a local college student who had great lyrics but struggled to sing while playing their acoustic guitar. We broke down the rhythm of the strumming patterns and adjusted their vocal phrasing to fit the groove naturally. Soon, they were performing their original songs at local open mic nights with total ease.
I believe in nurturing your individual voice using safe vocal techniques while providing interactive and supportive lessons. My lessons provide comprehensive training designed to prepare you for successful auditions and live performances. We focus heavily on critical skills like audition preparation, stage presence, and selecting the absolute best repertoire for your unique voice. I also teach practical techniques for performance anxiety management so you can feel grounded when you step on stage.
I work with a wide range of students, including older hobbyists finding their voice for the first time and highly driven teenagers preparing for competitive school placements. For example, I recently coached a teenage student who was incredibly nervous about a college musical theater audition. We practiced mock auditions, refined their posture, and chose a song that highlighted their natural range.
They ended up walking into the room with complete confidence and landed their desired role. I push my students to perform confidently under pressure by replicating real stage environments in our sessions. This direct practice helps you overcome nervous habits and control your breathing when it matters most.
My goal is to support you through every part of the preparation process so you can excel in front of any panel. We will get you ready to impress and make sure your talent shines through clearly. Together, we will build the mental and physical stamina needed for a truly memorable performance.
