About Anassa

My name is Anassa, and I am a second-year politics student at Queen's University Belfast, I want to tutor English Literature and Language because I know firsthand how important strong writing, analytical skills, and confidence in communication is, not just for exams, but for future academic and professional success. I understand firsthand the difficulties of GCSEs, and A-levels, therefore seeing students gain confidence and improve academically is incredibly rewarding. I enjoy helping others develop their skills and find their own voice in writing, whether that is crafting an argument, analysing literature or improving an essay. I believe learning should be empowering, which is why I take a personal approach, adapting each session to your specific needs. My experience in high-level academic writing, personal statements, proofreading and CV building means I can also offer guidance beyond schoolwork, helping students prepare for university and future opportunities.

About the lesson

As a second-year Politics and International Relations student at Queen's, I understand the importance of analytical writing, strong communication and critical thinking. With a grade 9 in both English Literature and English Language at GCSE level, as well as achieving an A-level in English Literature, I have developed a passion for the subject, studying texts such as Shakespeare's ‘Othello,’ Mary Shelley's ‘Frankenstein’ and Sylvia Plath's ‘Ariel.’ My tutoring approach is completely tailored to you and your level. Whether you need help with essay writing, analysing language, proofreading or even crafting a successful personal statement or CV. I will adapt each session to suit your specific goals. I specialise in high-level academic writing, helping you refine your ideas, improve coherence and build confidence in your work. Each session will be interactive and designed around what you want to improve on, whether that is mastering literary techniques, improving grammar, or gaining confidence in your writing style. I believe learning should be engaging, empowering and effective, and I will ensure that every lesson builds your skills in a way that works for you.
