About Mer
I am a native Spanish speaker fluent in English and passionate about languages.
I hold a Bachelor Degree in Linguistics and postgraduate training on Spanish Linguistics (MA in Linguistics Applied to the Teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language) among other courses and training on languages, linguistics and teaching that have provided me with a deep knowledge of the language, its acquisition and teaching.
Besides, I have a wide experience teaching languages in different contexts; after working with pupils (from GCSE to A level students) in a high school as a Spanish Language Assistant for two years (appointed by the Spanish Education Ministry and British Council) in 2008, I moved back to Spain where I have been working in different Government language teaching programs, teaching adults, young people and teachers.

In my lesson plans I try to meet all the student´s needs and use different teaching and learning styles.
I combine a variety of resources including authentic materials to make learning engaging and active. Some of my greatest assets are my enthusiasm, attention to detail and energy together with my communication and listening skills that allow me to communicate well with people of all ages.
