About Andrea
I am a preschool and elementary school Spanish teacher who comes from a Mexican American family. I grew up speaking Spanish at home and took six years of French. I had amazing foreign language teachers and I have them to credit for my success in speaking different languages. I hope to do the same for my students.

My goal is to get students comfortable in speaking Spanish. I want them to be able to converse in Spanish if they were ever to travel to a Spanish speaking country. There is more to Spanish than reading and writing. It is important to understand and practice speaking the language to immerse yourself in the culture of Spanish speakers. I use songs, games, and stories to engage children in Spanish.
