About Shermeen

I am a Biopharmaceuticals and Materials Science graduate from a highly selective Erasmus Mundus joint master’s program, with advanced academic training across leading European universities. My background blends strong STEM fundamentals with hands-on research experience in biomaterials, nanotechnology, and drug delivery systems.

I specialize in helping students understand complex scientific concepts clearly and confidently, especially at the high school, undergraduate, and early graduate levels. My experience includes supporting students with coursework, labs, exams, and research-focused assignments in life sciences and engineering-related subjects.

I take a student-centered approach to teaching. Rather than rote memorization, I focus on concept mastery, scientific reasoning, and real-world application — skills that are essential for success in U.S. college programs, competitive STEM majors, and research tracks.

Students often work with me to:

Strengthen GPA in challenging science courses

Prepare for exams and lab assessments

Build confidence in research-based learning

Transition smoothly into college-level STEM expectations

About the lesson

My tutoring sessions are structured, goal-oriented, and fully personalized to meet U.S. academic standards and expectations.

Subjects & Support Areas

Biopharmaceutical & Biomedical Sciences

Materials Science & Biomaterials

Nanotechnology & Drug Delivery (foundations)

College-level STEM coursework support

Research methods & experimental design

Scientific writing, lab reports & presentations

Teaching Style

Step-by-step explanations using plain, clear language

Visual aids, diagrams, and real research examples

Active problem-solving during sessions

Emphasis on why concepts work, not just how

Regular check-ins to track progress and confidence

Session Format

Online, one-on-one sessions

Flexible scheduling for U.S. time zones

Suitable for AP-level students, undergraduates, and pre-research students

I do not complete assignments or labs for students. Instead, I teach, guide, and mentor, ensuring students fully understand the material and can perform independently — in line with academic integrity standards.

Who My Sessions Are Best For

High school students preparing for advanced science courses
Undergraduate STEM majors needing extra support
Pre-med, pre-research, and PhD-track students
Students who feel overwhelmed by technical science subjects
Learners who want clarity, structure, and confidence

Shermeen has been an amazing tutor. Even though her background is in Physics, she teaches Biology with incredible clarity and depth. She helped me with Biology 1 topics like cell structure and function, macromolecules, enzymes, cellular respiration, genetics, and basic physiology — and made each concept easy to understand.

What I really appreciate is how she connects ideas logically and explains the “why” behind everything. She’s patient, supportive, and makes complex topics feel manageable. I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking to truly understand Biology, not just memorize it.

An amazing online tutor for physics and chemistry! She helped me all the way from high school to college and made Chem 1, Chem 2, and physics so much easier to understand. She explains things in a simple and patient way and never gets tired of questions. Honestly, I wouldn’t have survived these subjects without her!
