About John
** GCSE Maths and Physics tutoring **
I sat for the international GCSEs more than 10 years ago where I have scored in the top three across the UAE in the A-Levels Maths (as well as scoring A* in A-Level Physics and A* in A-Level Chemistry). Since then I have excelled in Maths and Physics, completed a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Oxford, and spent research periods at the University of Cambridge and the Max Planck Institute. I am currently a lecturer in Physics at the University of St Andrews passionate about the application of cutting-edge light microscopy to understanding human brain diseases.

** GCSE Maths and Physics tutorials **
I am deeply passionate about problem-solving in Maths and Physics, having tutored for more than five (5) consecutive years. I strive to impart that passion to my students through an interactive learning experience that includes extensive problem-solving, interactive engagement, and ample space for discussion. My primary focus is ensuring that my students leave each lesson entirely satisfied with the learning process and having achieved the intended outcomes. My lessons will be structured as follows:
* Revision of concepts covered in previous lesson (if applicable).
* Thorough explanation of the new concept to be covered in the current lesson.
* Ample problem-solving from past papers, covering questions of easy, medium, and hard difficulty.
* Short mock quiz / exam to gauge level of understanding. Feedback will be provided and followed on in the subsequent lesson.
