About Rei

I have been studying chemistry for over 7 years, with a strong passion for organic chemistry and biochemistry. I have a BS with honors in biochemistry and chemical biology. Currently, I am working towards earning my PhD in organic chemistry at Wayne State University. My involvement extends beyond the classroom; I am actively engaged in research and participate in local American Chemical Society chapters. This hands-on experience enriches my teaching, allowing me to provide students with insights from the forefront of chemical research.

About the lesson

A typical tutoring session with me involves introducing new topics, reviewing notes, and applying the material through practice problems. I aim to ensure that students fully understand the concepts before moving on. What sets me apart as a tutor is my deep understanding of the challenges students face with chemistry. I know how difficult it can be, especially when you have to teach it to yourself, as many students often do. My goal is to make chemistry more accessible and less intimidating, providing the support and guidance needed to succeed.
