*Lessons are given once per week or fortnightly at your request at 20/30, 40 minute or hourly slots. (4.30 till 7.30) 20 mins - £10 30 mins - £15 40 mins - £20 Hourly - £30 Required Method Books: Piano: Pam Wedgewood piano Piano Basics Waterman’s “ME and My Piano” Book 1 * * * Terms and conditions for Tuition sessions Booking 1. Sessions must be confirmed within 48 hours of being agreed; failure to do so will result in the slot being offered to another student and this also applies to rescheduled sessions. This will be arranged directly with myself (The Teacher). Payments 2. Payments are made via bank transfer. Any bank charges to be paid by the Client and not the Teacher/Facilitator. This will be outlined on your invoice. Cheque Payments are not acceptable. when booking your first session, payments must be made one week in advance of the start of the agreed period. Any teaching materials needed for the student’s personal use, which is bought and paid for by the teacher will be charged. Then teacher will provide any receipts to the student for payment. Any exam booking costs which the teacher has paid for will be charged. The teacher will provide proof of the booking and receipts to the student for payment. Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy Cancellation by the student 3.(a). Sessions cancelled/rescheduled between 24 and 48 hours’ notice given by the student irrespective of the reason, will be charged half the session fee only for that particular session. 3.(b). Sessions cancelled/rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged the full session fee. The student will be sent an invoice for payment should any of the above occur where no reasonable option can be agreed. **Having said all the above, every effort will be made to re-allocate a session should changes need to be made at short notice, where this is not possible, however, the session will always roll over and added to the next reasonable month or agreed date/time simply to avoid refund complications. In either case, no payments will be refunded since efforts will always be made to re-allocate before any decision in terms of a half-refund can be considered. • You will be sent an invoice for payment should any of the above occur Cancellation by the Tutor/Facilitator 4. Sessions cancelled/rescheduled by the Facilitator/Tutor will be re-arranged at a time mutual to both parties. We will endeavour to give as much notice as possible, should this occur. Refunds 5. The Facilitator/Tutor will not offer a refund on any sessions; including those cancelled or missed. Rescheduled Sessions on behalf of the student or teacher will remain at the length of time and price originally booked. Attendance Students should arrive on time for their allocated session booking otherwise a reduction in the session duration maybe incurred. Missed session time recompensed if the Student is late, the session will end at the scheduled time. Any overtime will be at the Facilitator/Tutor’s discretion. If the Student misses their session slot completely, the session will be forfeited, and not refunded or rescheduled. If the Facilitator/Tutor is running late, the Student will receive a full session time. Parents/guardians are welcome to sit in with minors under the age of 14, or if deemed necessary by the teacher. Running Time Teaching will end approximately 5-7 minutes before time, to allow for questions, pre-booking, CD burning etc. Block Bookings/Packages Sessions paid for in a block or as a package will be deemed expired, if not used within the time limit specified at the time of payment. Blocks are valid for: • 2 session block – 3 months • 4 session block – 6 months • 6+ sessions block – 8 months Exceptional Circumstances The session facilitator reserves the right to refuse to tutor any Student/Artist that is contagiously ill, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or exhibiting violent behaviour. The Facilitator/Tutor reserves the right to stop a session at any point should they feel it is necessary. If the occurrence of the above is due to the student recovering from an illness, then the rest of the sessions will be rescheduled at a time suitable for both parties. The teacher reserves the right to refuse or discontinue sessions with any student for any reason at their discretion. Rights and Discretion The Voice Studio Facilitator/Tutor hold the rights and discretion to change or amend any of the above Terms and Conditions if deemed necessary or unavoidable. *Finally, your acceptance of the above terms is affirmed at the point of payment and affirmed furthermore by your attendance at your first session.
