About Charlotte

Hi, I’m Charlotte, an experienced maths tutor with over 10 years’ experience supporting students from Primary through to A Level, including learners with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).

I studied Business Management at university and went on to complete CIPD Level 5 and Level 7 qualifications, which strengthened my analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and structured approach to explaining complex ideas clearly.

Alongside my professional career, including working within a FTSE 100 organisation, the manufacturing sector, and now a specialist Multi-Academy Trust I have continued to support students in maths, developing a strong ability to adapt my teaching to different learning styles and abilities.

I am known for being patient, approachable, and encouraging, particularly when working with students who may lack confidence or need extra support.

About the lesson

My teaching style is supportive, structured, and highly adaptable, particularly for students who may find maths challenging or need concepts explained in different ways.

How I Teach:
- Break down topics into simple, step-by-step explanations
- Use a variety of methods to suit different learning styles, including visual and practical approaches
- Provide targeted support for ALN students, ensuring lessons are accessible and confidence-building
- Focus on building strong foundations before moving to more complex topics
- Use regular practice and repetition to reinforce learning

I place a strong emphasis on confidence-building, helping students feel comfortable tackling problems independently.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes, and include:
Review of previous learning
Focus on specific topics or problem areas
Guided practice with support
Summary of key techniques and next steps
