About Farah

Hello! I’m a passionate Mathematics tutor with a strong belief that every student can excel when learning is meaningful and tailored to their needs as long as there are efforts and struggles. I enjoy turning difficult mathematical concepts into simple, understandable ideas using real-life examples, visual explanations, and interactive learning activities. I hold a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Mathematics from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). As a tutor, I focus on developing students’ conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and confidence. I believe that Mathematics is not just about getting the right answer but it’s about understanding how and why the answer works. My goal is to support students in building strong foundations and achieving success in their exams and everyday learning.

About the lesson

I believe learning is most effective when it is student-centered, interactive, and practical. My lessons focus on:

Understanding before memorizing: I use real-life examples, visual aids, and questioning techniques to build strong conceptual understanding.

Gradual scaffolding: Starting from simple concepts and guiding students step by step to solve more complex problems.

Active participation: Students explain ideas back, practise solving problems, and engage in discussion. This helps reinforce what they have learned.

Assessment for learning: I use short quizzes, verbal questioning or mini-tasks to gauge progress during the lesson and adjust teaching accordingly.

Differentiated instruction: I tailor my strategies based on students’ abilities, learning pace, and style (visual, auditory, kinesthetic).
