About Lee

Hi! My name is Huixuan, and I am a dedicated and approachable Math tutor with 2 years of tutoring experience.
I graduated from Temasek Polytechnic and have a strong interest in Mathematics. I was also awarded a Silver award in SASMO (Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad), which reflects my interest and ability in the subject.

As a tutor, I believe that learning Math should not be about simply memorizing formulas. I aim to help students understand the concepts clearly, build strong fundamentals and become more confident in solving problems independently.

I am patient and willing to explain concepts in different ways until the student finds an approach that works for them. I also believe in creating a comfortable learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and learn from their mistakes.

I mainly teach Primary School Mathematics through online lessons. Whether your child needs help strengthening their fundamentals, preparing for exams, or simply gaining more confidence in Math, I will do my best to support them throughout their learning journey.

About the lesson

I believe that every student learns differently, so I focus on making Math lessons clear, engaging and suited to each student's learning pace.

My teaching approach is to first understand the student's current level and identify areas where they may be struggling. I then break down difficult concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps and use examples and guided practice to help the student build confidence. I encourage students to ask questions and explain their thinking rather than simply memorizing formulas or methods.

A typical lesson lasts around 1 hour, with flexibility depending on the student's age, attention span and learning needs. Lessons may include concept explanations, worked examples, practice questions and a short review of what was covered.

I have 2 years of tutoring experience and have also achieved a Silver award in SASMO (Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad). I am a graduate of Temasek Polytechnic and have a strong interest in helping students develop both their mathematical skills and confidence.

My lessons are primarily for primary school students who want to strengthen their fundamentals, improve their understanding of school topics, prepare for tests and exams, or become more confident in Math.

Lessons are conducted online, allowing students to learn comfortably from home in a focused and convenient environment.
