About Aalia

I am a professionally qualified Maths teacher with over 15 years of teaching experience. I am kind, patient and approachable, while also providing the encouragement, structure and gentle firmness needed to help every student reach their full potential.

As part of my teacher training, I studied educational development and have developed a range of teaching techniques that focus on maximising learning while supporting each child’s confidence and wellbeing. I aim to make learning manageable, engaging and tailored to each student’s individual needs, helping them build both their mathematical understanding and self-belief.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy knitting and gardening, which give me a chance to relax and be creative.

About the lesson

Each one-hour lesson is one-to-one, and structured into focused, manageable bursts to maximise learning and concentration. I model clear, effective methods for answering questions before guiding students through independent tasks and exam-style questions.

Students receive continuous one-to-one support throughout the lesson, with explanations and activities adapted to their individual needs, ability and learning style.

I am a qualified teacher with specialist training in child education and revision techniques, and over 15 years of experience teaching students from primary level through to GCSE, both in the classroom and in one-to-one tutoring settings.
