About Anya
My tutoring Journey began in my sophomore year of high school. My first tutoring opportunity was as a volunteer for Gwinnett Library, helping children ages 3-17 with school subjects, including social sciences, reading, essay writing, and foundational mathematics. Upon realizing that I had a talent for delivering results in their performance, I began working as a private tutor for more advanced subjects such as chemistry, pre-calculus, and exam prep. In this role, I would meet with students weekly, both in person and virtually, develop supplemental activities, and implement strategies that would make my students more comfortable and confident in their academic pursuits, encouraging them to perform to the best of their abilities. In my transition from high school to college, I gained a job as a virtual literacy tutor for Ignite Reading, underwent training, and earned my literacy tutor certification. In this position, I was responsible for assessing student reading levels, identifying their challenges, and utilizing interactive lesson plans to overcome their literacy barriers to create fluent readers. I have had the privilege of successfully helping students gain confidence in their academic performance and improve their grades.
