Experienced Italian tutor in Bristol and online from Beginner Level to Conversation

I write as the former Director of Studies of Cactus Language Training (Brighton and Hove). Part of my role was teacher recruitment, training and curriculum, this being my direct relationship with Valentina and her students at the time. Valentina is an experienced teacher, and in class proved to be a dependable, cooperative, intelligent and natural teacher. Her students were in General Communication group courses as well as one-to-one/small group corporate classes. She works hard to ensure her students receive the highest possible standards of teaching. In course feedback, her rating is very positive.

In observations of her teaching, she displayed excellent teaching skills, with an animated teaching style. She creates good levels of student participation, and obviously recognises the benefit of interactive role-plays, pair-work, and so on to expand upon and consolidate important vocabulary and structure.

Anyone working Valentina to learn and improve their Italian is on the right track.

Valentina is amazing and I really cannot recommend her highly enough. She is an exceptional teacher. She is knowledgeable, patient, supportive and passionate about both the language and her students’ progress. She is brilliant at explaining difficult and confusing things in a clear and understandable way. Her lessons are always engaging, thoughtfully structured, and tailored to my needs and interests, which has made learning hugely enjoyable. We have had weekly lessons for around 8 years and even after all this time she is able to keep them fresh, interesting and inspiring. I am so grateful for all the progress she has helped me to make and would recommend her without hesitation.

Valentina taught me one-to-one Italian online for a couple of years. She was an inspirational teacher and adapted each lesson to suit my interests. She spoke clearly in Italian in a way that I could always understand, and corrected my speaking with sensitivity and patience. Her explanations of grammar were easy to follow and information about Italian culture always fascinating. We studied Italian poetry, stories and art, as well as language. I always loved our lessons, which were a thoroughly enriching experience with a very lovely teacher.

I am incredibly lucky to have had Valentina as my Italian teacher for around two years.

I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better Italian teacher! She’s incredibly friendly, kind, and so patient. She always takes the time to explain things clearly and never makes you feel silly for asking questions.

As a native Italian, she knows the language inside and out. Even when I had random or obscure questions, she always had the answer. You can tell she’s truly dedicated to teaching and really cares about her students progress.
