About Kim

I have been teaching in various capacities for over 25 years. I taught Western Civilization as a Graduate Instructor at the University of Kansas, and tutored in English, Western Civilization, History (one of my undergraduate focuses), Government, Communications and Writing for first generation college students and those who needed assistance. I have also been a middle school and high school substitute teacher, and a college adjunct instrutor in Political Science and Non-Profit Management. As a professional, I worked 16 years as a News Director, morning talk radio host and broadcast journalist and can teach Broadcast and all levels of Communication. Over 30 years, I have been an emcee and auctioneer for thousands of charity events. I have also worked as a professional jury consultant and project manager, and currently work as a civilian manager in law enforcement. I have been a consultant to government agencies on team development and conflict resolution and can teach those skills as well. My lesson structure and methodology depends soley on the student. In my current position, I train and certify law enforcement personnel, and serve as an instructor for my church. I love teaching and will do everything I can to assist those who wish to learn. Over the years, I have taught thousands of students in junior high, high school, college, and after college (professional seminars). And by the way, I sing in a professional rock and soul band, so music may be used as a teaching tool.

About the lesson

I am a communications and management professional with a Master's Degree in Political Science. I have alot of experience that will help you overcome any learning obstacles that you may encounter. I will tutor you if you are in junior high, high school, college or are an adult professional, and I will tailor my lessons to meet your needs. During our first session, I take time to get to know you, what the subject matter or class requires, and assess what areas need development. Together we will find the best way for you to succeed. We will have fun and. as long as you are ready to learn, we will set and achieve your goals.
