About Divyani
I have a corporate background and hold a Master of Finance degree from Melbourne Uni. I am now a full-time yoga teacher and IELTS and English tutor. Teaching with a focus on helping others has become a passion for me. I have been tutoring at a leading coaching centre in Melbourne CBD for more than 4 years and have a wide range of experience in helping my students with achieving band 7, 8 and 9 in IELTS as well as improving their general English. English is my first language, but as an international student in Australia, I had to take the IELTS test myself and I scored a 9 in Speaking, Writing, Reading and Listening, which is why I feel extremely confident to be able to share practical advice on improving English language skills for IELTS or otherwise.

Having prepared for the IELTS test myself and through my extenssive teaching experience, I have found some helpful tips and guidelines that help in scoring well in the IELTS Speaking and Writing sections. My classes focus on these tips and give you the strategies to feel confident on your test day.
Moreover, my teaching style is centered on practical and colloquial language skills, idiomatic usage and every-day vocabulary that are helpful in IELTS and general real-life settings. I try to make my sessions engaging with a dash of good humour and laughs, so you'll not only have a lot to learn and take home, but also de-compress and have a good time!
