About Annabelle

I have worked with young people since my time as a sixth former in various settings and it is something I enjoy and am extremely passionate about. This has included as a tutor, a mentor and a Peer Leader amongst other roles. As a qualified teacher, I am highly skilled and partake in regular trainings to ensure I am continuing to provide the best education for my students. This is something that is also vital to me as a tutor, with each student receiving thorough and personalised support based on their goals.

About the lesson

Annabelle is a highly skilled history teacher and tutor who provides tailored tutoring sessions adapted to her student's needs. She has a proven academic track record and is passionate about providing quality and inclusive education. She has also worked in schools in Uganda to improve the quality of teacher training there, as well as providing ongoing training for student teachers at the University of Reading. Alongside this, several of her academic works have been published.

Annabelle has strong communication and interpersonal skills, and is experienced in working with SEN and disadvantaged students. She works with students at KS3, GCSE and A Level and is effective at personalising lessons and resources depending on the student's goals and ability. She has proven experience of improving students outcomes, helping many not only achieve their targets but exceed these.

I approach each lesson and topic dependant on the short and long term needs of the student. This could include assistance comprehending the topic, preparing for exams, or in their written work. Each lesson will be tailored to the goals of the student, as well as adapted to any needs they may have. Each session will typically last an hour, however this can be adapted depending on the student's needs.
