About Charlotte

I have taught history for ten years and have been a Head of Year for 10 years. I have also been a Team Leader for exam markers for Edexcel history for 8 years. I am dedicated to helping students achieve the best mark they can get and to support both academically and emotionally leading up to exams by sharing a variety of resources and strategies.

About the lesson

I am happy to offer a variety of tutor sessions tailored to your particular needs. After each session I will share PowerPoints, interactive resources and help sheets/exam tips to support you in your preparation for your exams. I will also support you by suggesting different revision techniques and giving you clear structures to secure marks in a variety of different styles of questions. Particular areas of expertise are Weimar and Nazi Germany, Elizabethan England, American West and medicine through time. I have been a Team Leader for Edexcel for the past 4 years and have extensive knowledge of the mark scheme for Weimar and Nazi Germany. I also have experience of teaching and marking the A Level Coursework (NEA). Topics I have covered so far are Tudors, Germany 1890-1991, Russia 1853-1965, and the witch craze 1500-1665. I also have excellent revision materials to support meeting each of the assessment objectives.
